Sit. Listen well. In three centuries at the tables of Europe, I have never once lost the thread of a shoe. Tonight I teach you the method that keeps me... comfortable: the Hi-Lo count.

1. Every card dealt — yours, the dealer's, or any other soul at the table — feeds the Running Count.
2. When it climbs positive, the deck grows heavy with high cards and aces. The house trembles. Wager boldly.
3. When it falls negative, only the low cards remain, and fortune favors the house. Wager little, or not at all.
4. But the Running Count alone is a crude instrument — meaningless without context. Divide it by the decks remaining, and you have the True Count, the number I actually act upon. Visit the Deck Math tab to master this division.
5. In Manual mode, keyboard shortcuts work too: ↑ = +1, ↓ = -1, → = 0.
